It has been a thought-provoking book for me as I take this story about a young woman and apply her situation, the possibility of her situation, to me, to others my age and older. How might I respond? What could I do to encourage a friend? In what way(s) am I blind and fail to see what is in front of or around me? What do I “neglect”? How do we dare to indulge in activities through which we recover freedom in the midst of limitation?
If you read it, I hope you to come away both enriched and provoked.
